Brandon Robbins and Mark Garbett met in a previous band and began to write music
together.  At their first show, which was a last minute fill in, local
music legend Nate Pyfer offered to produce their first Album.  The three
spent almost one year working on The Moth & The Flame's Debut Album.  There
was a great deal of experimenting and layering.  During the recording
process they continued to play shows eventually opening for Low.  They also
caught the attention of high fi speaker company Zu Audio who featured a Moth &
Flame song in a promo video.  Mike Roskelley, visionary mixer of Kaskade,
was also intrigued by the Art Rock duo and came aboard to mix the album.
Scott Wiley (Neon Trees) engineered the album.  The duo has caught the
imagination of hometown Provo, Utah with an art installation of giants to
promote their album release.  The three giants reach a towering 20 feet in
height and will be featured in a video soon to be premiered.  The giants
we're installed in a neighborhood before the show and then the day of they were
moved to the venue to greet fans.  The release show pre-sold out three days
beforehand.  Because of the high demand they added a second show which also
nearly sold.  The album was released locally 11.11.11 and is currently
available in physical form only (no digital downloads) due to the importance the
duo has placed on the art and how they present themselves.
