SYNOPSIS
3.2 Percent is a 30-minute entertainment/pop culture
news-magazine focusing on the richness and variety
of both the well-known and unknown ways of life in
Utah. This show capitalizes on Utah’s minority and
majority cultures and subcultures, as well as
highlights its natural surroundings and destination
locations. 3.2 Percent’s primary objective is to
find stories about the people that make up this
state, unearthing the wide ranges in life
experiences and the ever-present commonalities
amongst all of the various colors, creeds, and
characters. Inevitably, these stories take us down
new roads which, in turn, introduce us to another
whole new set of people, places and things. So, in
other words. . .make sure you bring your rations and
your sunscreen because the supply of subject matter
is seemingly endless, always entertaining and we’re
not sure when we’re coming back.

MISSION STATEMENT
This show was created as an answer to a question:
How can you stand living here? For those of us lucky
enough to call Utah home, answering this question
gets easier every year.
This show is about the 3.2 percent of Utah that’s
unexpected, comical, beautiful, strange, exciting,
sometimes sad, and usually a few steps off of the
beaten path. Fortunately, we were able to round up
the kind of trail-guides (hosts) that have the
necessary skills to navigate the back roads of the
best of Utah. Together they will skillfully, but not
always carefully, take you on an adventure that you
won’t forget. They may take a couple of turns too
fast and hit the peak of a hill so that your stomach
floats up towards your mouth, but you will never get
car sick, you will never get lost for more than a
few seconds and the kids will always be safe and
happy riding in the back. Strangers on TV keep
spending good time and money to sell you their
version of fun, but in real life its creativity and
companions that make the difference. That’s where we
come in. We believe that the people who are
determined to find the good life in Utah have a
talent for finding one another. We‘ve found a few in
our time, and we are here to help it happen for
others.
3.2 Percent is about a vibrant subculture that is,
in part, created by an equally vibrant and dominant
culture that is rich in it’s heritage and loyal to
it‘s tradition. Sometimes we choose to be voyeurs
and other times we get down in the trenches as these
cultures collide, connect, disagree, ignore, excite
and ignite. However, no matter what the mood or
setting may be, 3.2 Percent is always about reaching
out through the television screen and telling
someone, anyone, that the good life is here, within
reach, and that all you have to do is get up off
your can to find it.
This show is about our Utah, the Utah we find with
our friends and stick around for, the Utah we
discover day after day and fall in love with year
after year. This show gathers the places,
destinations, trends and fashions, bands and shows,
jokes, stories and dreams that keep us afloat,
rather than drowning us in sanctity and salt water.
3.2 Percent is intoxicating television-distilled,
concentrated, fermented, and bottled at the source.
And, in case you want to know....the 3.2 crew all
agrees that, with the right attitude, 3.2 percent is
more than enough for everyone.
