Old New York by Abby It's a stormy night in old new york A misty shower has alighted over the city Slivers of rain gleam as they glide Through the hazy beam of a streetlight The soft glow that the lamp emanates Is speckled with the bedazzling light of the drizzle The cobblestones shine Like the streets of some lost elysium My walk is graced by thunder That echoes through the heavenlies The pounding of god's feet and the ring of titan's swords Feuds with the flash of zeus' scepter Challenging the glowing stream As it trickles down from paradise.
