Say Hey
by Nick Westbye

I like the smell of sun tan lotion
in a smoky garage
and the sun shining in my face.
Then I walk into a mirage and I know
say hey.
Sing a tune in your car
and dance wildly to the beat.
Go ahead.
Prove your point.
If it will keep you on your feet.
And I know
say hey.
Sprechen sie deutch
and I don't care.
Listen to this and like it.
I forget things sometimes,
but shit and I know
say hey.
Say hey to your mom,
Say hey to your pops,
Say hey to your friends,
and Say hey to Chavez.
Say hey to your neighbors,
Say hey to Grandma,
Say hey to yourself in the mirror
and say hey to God.
