Silence by Chantal Smith can you hear it? can you feel the earth's toil? it's soothing, how i've longed for the hands of time to bring such warmth it's never like this it's never ... SILENT the silence soothes my fears destroys the guilt of my past it relieves me from unseen tears watching as time goes by tick, tock, tick soon it will be over soon there will be silence forever i can't stand the pain can't stand the hurt of our forefathers can't carry the stress & unforgivenness of the past that society carries on it's burdened shoulders when will restoration come? who will stand & lay the first brick towards forgiveness? who will forget? who will let go? i cry for freedom i cry for forgivenness if we only kept quiet & realised that freedom comes & freedom will through only in the time of SILENCE....
